The first company to present at Tysons' inaugural 1 Million Cups meeting will be Good River Beer, a Colorado-based craft beer brewery that is currently expanding to the Washington, D.C., area. Good River Beer is unique in that it donates two percent of their revenue to river conservation. The founder of Good River Beer will give a six-minute presentation, then answer questions from the audience in a 20-minute discussion period that follows. One or two startups will be featured at each Wednesday event, and each presenter is encouraged to be open and transparent about the entrepreneurial challenges they face, as 1 Million Cups is intended to be an inclusive and supportive environment. "Based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee, the Kauffman Foundation developed 1 Million Cups -- a free program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs with their communities," 1 Million Cups' website states. There are currently 165 chapters of 1 Million Cups held in more than 40 U.S. states.
