Get Haunted

Not into ooey-gooey romance? This Valentine's Day, allow yourself to indulge in the macabre with a spooky tour! The Haunted Hearts Pub Tour in Fells Point acts as a creepy counterpoint to wine and a box of truffles. Visitors can explore the area's history-laden taverns with historian Cliff Long, who will discuss the history of the holiday through the lens of old-town Baltimore. Stay for legendary tales about the city's residents like Edgar Allan Poe, all while experiencing the maritime neighborhood's signature sights.

Go on a Run

It might seem like an unusual idea for a date, but anything that gets you moving is a win in our book! Put on some kicks, stake out a path, and take a jog in one of Baltimore's many neighborhoods. Not only will you get a workout, but you'll get to explore somewhere new together (the fact that it's free is also a plus!) You could also participate in a charity run for an important cause, like The Valentine's-themed Cupid's Undie Run. The nonprofit raises money for research towards neurofibromatosis and is held all over the country, including Baltimore!

Go to a Tasting

Sharing drinks together can be romantic, but why not take it up a notch with a special tasting? Sign up for a tour at one of your favorite breweries or wineries and sip a variety of different drinks. Sometimes they even offer small bites to enjoy with what's on tap. While outside Baltimore, the Love Thy Beer: Winter Warmer Showcase will feature dozens of regional brews for your sipping pleasure, along with Cabot Creamery cheese and bites from McGinty's Public House. As part of FeBREWary, the beers on tap are specially made for the month, so you won't find them anywhere else!

Try New Food

If the usual steakhouse is growing stale, that's a good sign it's time to mix things up! Shake up your restaurant game by trying a new cuisine or even a new-to-you place that makes your favorite meal. Maryland Vegan Restaurant Week will be happening on Valentine's Day, offering special menus from some of Baltimore's hippest joints like Golden West Cafe and Miss Shirley's. Wherever you go, just be sure to make a reservation—you don't want to be left out in the cold on Valentine's Day!
