The hilarious video welcomes students back to school in the time of COVID-19.

Across the country, schools are getting ready to reopen for the upcoming school year, and things are going to look very different. With social distancing and sanitation guidelines amped up to the maximum to keep COVID-19 at bay, there are a lot of new protocols and expectations for staff and students alike. 

One high school principal in Alabama took on the challenge and had a little fun at the same time.

Dr. Quentin Lee is the principal of Childersburg High School and he posted a video to YouTube on July 28, performing a parody rap of MC Hammer’s 1990 hit “Can’t Touch This," which has gotten a ton of attention—it's garnered almost 4 million views! He wrote the words himself and even got some help from volunteers and community members to create the video addressing how things will look when students head back to class this fall.

Back in April, Dr. Lee posted another video sharing a song of hope, encouragement, and joy that he wrote to sum up how he has been feeling about the COVID-19 pandemic—and we have to say, he took the words right out of our mouths.

Thanks to Dr. Lee for his humorous spin on a profoundly serious and stressful situation. By addressing the issues head-on, in a way that makes people feel comfortable, hopefully, the students at his school will have a great return to class.
