This will probably go down as the weirdest summer in Ocean City history.

We're not sure if the sheer emptiness seen in this drone video from August 27 is due to the pandemic or the early-morning hour. Maybe a bit of both? Either way, this gem of a video shows a pristine beach, glass-like water, and a sleepy beach town that would ordinarily be hopping during the last weekend in August. We're gonna be honest: It's kind of eerie.

We give you "Ocean City, Maryland, The 2020 Edition."

Matt Diener, the drone pilot, posted the following on YouTube, along with the video:

"I flew the (drone) quite a bit in the 48 hours I was in Ocean City. The weather was overcast, and humid. The early AM boardwalk shots are washed out from the AM marine layer."
