The order runs through Saturday, March 27.

In the wake of the Boulder, Colorado, shooting that claimed 10 lives, Governor Ralph Northam has directed flags to be flown at half-staff in remembrance of the victims.

According to WRIC-TV, the order commands all local, state, and federal buildings in the Commonwealth to fly both U.S. and Virginia state flags at half-staff. The flags will remain lowered until Saturday, March 27, at sunset.

The shooting took place Monday afternoon at a King Soopers grocery store in South Boulder. Ten people were killed, including a 51-year-old police officer, Eric Talley. The suspect has since been identified as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, who made his first court appearance Thursday.

Governor Northam previously issued the order following the Atlanta spa shootings that occurred on Tuesday, March 16. The tragedy left eight people dead, including seven women and six women of Asian descent. The flag was lowered between March 18 and March 22.

Both shootings occurred within one week, and are among the 104 mass shootings that have been reported this year. Over 120 people have been killed and 380 injured.
