Based on E.T.A. Hoffmann's 1816 fairy tale, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, The Nutcracker ballet tells the story of a little girl who goes to the Land of Sweets on Christmas Eve. The music. The choreography. The graceful ballet beauty. Watching The Nutcracker is an annual tradition for countless families.

You and your family are now able to view Colorado Ballet's The Nutcracker from the comfort of your own home throughout the holiday season, thanks to Rocky Mountain PBS.

Rocky Mountain PBS will broadcast The Nutcracker, beginning on Thanksgiving Day and five more times until Christmas Day:

  • Thursday, Nov. 26 – 7 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 27 – 3 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 18 – 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 19 – 1 a.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 24 – 7 p.m.
