Excerpt: Elk rutting season is in full swing here in Colorado, and as such, the elk can become rather ... aggressive. Colorado Parks and Wildlife is encouraging people to keep a safe distance away from the animals during this time, especially after a recent incident where a massive bull elk charged a crowd in Estes Park near Rocky Mountain National Park last Thursday. Video footage shows the bull elk charging toward a crowd near the visitor center, ultimately knocking a woman down and repeatedly butting her with its antlers.
