Lego releases Friends-inspired set that's modeled after Central Perk to mark show's 25th anniversary.

Friends fans' dream of a reunion is now a reality, well, sort of ... In honor of the show’s 25th anniversary, Lego is releasing a 1,070-piece set that allows you to build the Central Perk Coffee Shop right at your kitchen table.

The company describes it as "an ideal Friends-themed gift for your own friends and family who love the TV show, this hot toy is great for play and will grab attention when displayed in any room."

The set comes with seven minifigures and is full of authentic details, both inside and out—the seating area, stage, menu board, coffee machine, and all the elements from the iconic coffee shop, including Gunther and the iconic six friends!

“The minifigures each have their own items inspired by the TV series, including Ross’s brick-built keyboard and the following accessory elements: Rachel’s tray and coffee cup, Monica’s muffin, Joey’s pizza box, pizza slice and ‘man bag’, Chandler’s laptop, Phoebe’s guitar and Gunther’s broom. Other accessory elements in this café playset include a newspaper, 15 coffee cups and a ‘Reserved’ sign, plus 3 vases and buildable flowers," states the press release.

The Central Perk Lego set releases on September 1, 2019, and will cost $60, so keep your eye out for it to hit online and store shelves.

The prime-time sitcom show ran for 10 seasons on NBC, from September 22, 1994, through May 6, 2004. The shows very first episode takes place in Central Perk, where Racheal burst through the door in her wedding dress and runs into her old friend Monica, the rest, as they say, is history. The show was hugely popular during its run and gathered a whole new generation of fans when it hit Netflix in 2014—it will, unfortunately, be leaving the streaming service in 2020.
