That's right, folks, the steamy Netflix series has been renewed!

Head back to Regency England and check in on your favorite family. The first season of Bridgerton was a huge hit for the streaming service, and viewers fell in love with the Duke of Hastings, Lady Whistledown, and the Bridgerton brood. The show was so popular that it got an almost immediate green light for a second installment.

Here's what you can expect from future episodes:

A new leading lady, Kate, is heading to London. This exotic beauty is putting a new twist on the Anthony/Kate storyline from the novels, so it will be interesting to see how she is introduced and developed. With the family name of Sharma, she is guaranteed to bring a bit of Indian culture to the stuffy parlors of England.

True to the series of books by Julia Quinn, the next season will be all about Anthony, the eldest son and Viscount Bridgerton. If you got a kick out of his spicy story, you'll see much, much more of him.

Each of the Quinn novels develops a Bridgerton sibling's story arc, each with a romantic ending of some kind. If you're too impatient to wait for Netflix, you can always read the books or download the audiobooks and binge them all in your car. With Shonda Rhimes at the helm, though, don't expect the streaming series to fall in step with the written plotlines.
