"I am woman, hear me roar."

This recent law graduate from Loyola University just took girl power to the next level! Brianna Hill was originally scheduled to take the bar exam 10 weeks ago, but due to the pandemic, the test was postponed to last week. The new date put Hill within two weeks of her pregnancy due date.

When taken remotely, the proctored bar exam consists of four 90-minute sections over a two-day period, during which test-takers sit at their computers and are monitored via camera to ensure no cheating is taking place. Hill felt her water break 30 minutes into the first section of the test but, since she wasn't allowed a break until the section was complete, she went ahead and finished.

"I took my break, got myself cleaned up, called my husband, midwife, and mom, cried because I was a little panicked, then sat down to take the second part because my midwife told me I had time before I needed to go to the hospital," she said, according to CNN.

She finished the second section, then headed to the hospital, where she gave birth around 10 p.m.

That job complete, it was still important to Hill and to her husband that she finish the other job at hand—the bar exam. With the support of the hospital staff, Hill was able to finish the exam the next day in an empty room at the hospital.

"I'm so thankful for the support system I had around me. The midwives and nurses were so invested in helping me not only become a mom but also a lawyer," Hill said.

Hill was even able to juggle her new mom duties simultaneously, nursing her baby boy during breaks.

Though she hasn't yet learned whether or not she passed the bar, Hill's dedication to completing her goals is something all of us can aspire to.

Congratulations, Brianna, on your new baby boy—and your future law career! You are an inspiration!
