Police say the crash happened around 4 a.m.

An early morning crash at Denver International Airport (DIA) has left one person dead, says the Denver Police Department (DPD).

The single-vehicle crash happened at the west terminal of DIA on Level 6, with the car ending up on Level 4. The driver involved in the accident was pronounced dead at the scene, says DPD.

The victim has not yet been identified.

Travelers at DIA are being directed to use the east side of the airport (for parking, pick-up, and drop-off) while the police continue to investigate the crash.
