KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was killed in a shooting in east Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday evening.

Just before 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 5600 block of East 29th Street on a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers were directed to the front yard of a home on 29th Street.

They found an adult female victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead on scene.

Police said this incident is being investigated as a homicide and no one is currently in custody.
