WASHINGTON — One man is dead and another is suffering from injuries after a shooting in Southeast D.C. Sunday night.

Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to Stanton Road Southeast, off of Alabama Avenue Southeast, around 7:40 p.m. after a report of gunfire. While officers were investigating at the location, two gunshot victims arrived at a local hospital for help.

Despite treatment, one of the men died from his injuries. He has been identified as 31-year-old Anthony White, of Northwest D.C.

The second man suffered injuries not considered life-threatening.

Police are searching for two males in connection to the deadly shooting.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
