Mount Vernon's biggest bash of the year has arrived, and it's a seasonal must! To kick off their reopening, the French Embassy is throwing the ultimate Bastille Day bash! We're especially partial to Dog Haus Biergarten's meal deal—for $20, you'll get two of their signature hot dogs with a side of tater tots and a beer—but you can't go wrong with any of them! For a low-key Saturday, swing by DC's Petworth neighborhood for their Community Market. Featuring bakeries, farms, and restaurants from all over the region, visitors can stock up on pantry essentials or grab a bite to eat with friends between May and November. We have festivals for wine and beer—why not seltzer? Head out to Rock Creek Park Golf Course for a hard seltzer smorgasbord starting at 11 a.m. Featuring fan-favorite brands like Vizzy and White Claw, visitors can also take advantage of food trucks, photo ops, and games as they sample to their heart's content. Held every third Saturday at the Catonsville Clubhouse, shoppers can browse unique creations handcrafted by over 30 artisanal vendors. Any Civil War buffs in the house? This weekend, join the National Park Service to commemorate the First Battle of Manassas! This two-day event covers an immersive tour of Manassas Battlefield Park, along with demonstrations, author panels, and other activities remembering one of the war's most famous battles.
