The 2025 Walker Cup is less than a year away, and the preparations have already begun. The biennial tournament is a competition between amateur men golfers from the USA, Great Britain, and Ireland.

Recently, 16 players from the USA were invited for the practice session next month. Amateur world no. 1 Luke Clanton is headlining the practice line-up. The 20-year-old has had an impressive year, becoming the runner-up at the John Deere Classic. He also made his US Open debut at Pinehurst this season.

An invite to the practice session doesn't guarantee a spot on the team, and non-invited golfers will also be considered when finalizing the team for the 2025 Walker Cup. However, it does stand as proof of good performance. In the 2023 edition of the tournament, seven out of 16 golfers were able to participate in the tournament.

The practice sessions for the 2025 Walker Cup will take place at the McArthur Golf Club, Seminole Golf Club, and The Bear's Club in Jupiter, Florida. The sessions will be held for over three days.

The USA has been leading the series overall since it was founded in 1922. The side will go into the tournament next year as defending champions.
