OKLAHOMA CITY (KSWO) - April 19, 1995 is a day which sets heavy in the hearts of many Oklahomans. 168 lives were lost in the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City and next year will mark 30 years since the devastating Oklahoma City Bombing.

In partnership with the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum, KSWO is counting down those days by remembering those who lost their lives during the tragedy every night.

On day three, we remember Richard A. Allen.

Allen, from Yukon, was a claims representative for the Social Security Administration.

Before working for Social Security, Allen was stationed with the 65th Military Police Platoon at Dugway Proving Ground in Utah.

Many who knew him believed coaching was his real calling.

We also honor those who survived including Lee Roy Ames, Philip Antony, Nikolai Apter and Bob Armstrong.

We also thank those changed forever, including the Allen Texas Fire Department and the Altus Police Department.
