A 14-year-old girl was shot and killed in Rhode Island this week and the 18-year-old accused of killing her is under arrest.

Central Falls police said the man is charged with manslaughter after the 14-year-old girl was shot at a home Thursday morning and died at the hospital overnight.

Central Falls High School is making counselors available for those who need support.

Officials have not yet released the names of the suspect or the victim.
