Isaac Reynoso tapped in a deflection by Benson Zendt in the 46th minute to send Columbia-White Salmon to a 1-0 win over Highland in a 1A boys soccer state round-of-16 playoff Friday in White Salmon.

The Bruins advanced to the state quarterfinals for the second straight year, where they will host King’s of Shoreline at 1 p.m. Saturday.

On Friday, Cole Wooding feed a ball into the Highland goal area, where it was deflected high into the air by a Highland defender.

Before the Highland goalkeeper to catch the ball, Zendt positioned himself in front of the keeper and headed the ball over to an open Reynoso for the goal.
