TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department said two brothers were arrested in Kansas City after an armed robbery in south Tulsa.

Around 8 a.m. on Jan. 17, a woman left her apartment near South Mingo Road and East 81st Street and walked to her vehicle to load packages before heading to Kansas City for a bachelorette party, police said.

Police said two men approached the woman and forced her face down in the front seat with a gun to her head. The suspects took the packages, thousands of dollars in cash and a pistol from the vehicle, then left the scene.

Detectives recovered video from the scene showing the suspects driving a white Chevy Malibu rented in Kansas City by Marcus Denmon. Video from the rental facility showed both Marcus and Malik Denmon renting the car.

Police said detectives recovered surveillance video in Tulsa that further identified the brothers as the suspects in the robbery.

Detectives believe the suspects met the victim months before the robbery and identified her as a potential target.

On Feb. 28, Marcus and Malik Denmon were both charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon in Tulsa County.

Both of the suspects were arrested in Kansas City on March 4. Marcus and Malik Denmon will be brought back to Tulsa to face charges.
