LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Two people are dead and one is in the hospital after a crash in Adair County Friday.

Kentucky State Police said the wreck happened around 2:30 p.m. on KY 55. An initial investigation showed 74-year-old Linda Young of Jamestown was driving south when she crossed the center line and hit an oncoming car.

Young and her passenger, 45-year-old Chris Young, died at the scene. The driver of the other car was taken to University of Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries.

KSP is investigating.
