Two men died after a crash in Sangamon County late Monday night.

Illinois State Police said a Buick Allure was stopped at a red light while traveling south on Illinois 4 at Jefferson Street when it was rearended by a Hyundai Accent. Police said the Buick caught fire and the driver, a 40-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Accent, a 28-year-old man, was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Names of both drivers have not been released at this time.
