PHOENIX — Two men were arrested on Wednesday after allegedly kidnapping a woman from a Paradise Valley resort, according to authorities.

Reginald Kimbrough and Tradarian Clewis are accused of breaking into a hotel room in Scottsdale Plaza Resort , which is near Scottsdale and Indian Bend roads, on Monday, according to the Paradise Valley Police Department (PVPD).

They allegedly assaulted a man and abducted a woman who was with him, PVPD said in a Wednesday announcement .

How did police track down suspects in Paradise Valley kidnapping, assault?



PVPD’s criminal investigations unit then used descriptions from the male victim to track down the assailants and their vehicle.

After the suspect vehicle was traced to a residence near Broadway Road and Seventh Street in Phoenix, PVPD coordinated with the Phoenix Police Department to set up surveillance.

During surveillance, investigators witnessed Clewis entering the suspect vehicle, at which point they pulled him over, PVPD said.

After Clewis identified himself, police found that the vehicle was registered to Kimbrough.

The male victim later identified Kimbrough as one of the men who attacked him, police said.

How did police rescue abducted victim in Paradise Valley kidnapping?



The vehicle Clewis entered had been parked outside a residence whose homeowner told police the female victim was safely resting in an upstairs bedroom, police said.

The female victim then spoke to police and told them the same thing the male victim had said: that Kimbrough and Clewis broke into the hotel room, assaulted him and abducted her, police said.

The two suspects were arrested on charges of aggravated assault, burglary and kidnapping.
