Two men were arrested after they were accused of breaking into a guest room at a resort in Paradise Valley, assaulting a man inside and abducting a woman, according to the Paradise Valley Police Department. Police arrived at the hotel at about 3 a.m. on April 8. The man told police two men forcibly entered the room, assaulted him and abducted his female companion. The men then fled the hotel with the woman. The incident occurred near Scottsdale and Indian School roads. Police did not specify the hotel, but the resort at that location is the Scottsdale Plaza Hotel. The man provided police with detailed descriptions of the men and their vehicle, and detectives from the Crime Scene Investigations Unit began a search to locate them. The vehicle was found in south Phoenix, where detectives coordinated with the Phoenix Police Department to conduct surveillance. During surveillance, a man who matched the suspect description was seen entering the vehicle and leaving a residence that was linked to the men, Paradise Valley police said. Police stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Tradarian Clewis. The vehicle was registered to Reginald Kimbrough. The male victim later identified Kimbrough as one of the assailants. Detectives approached the residence where the vehicle departed from and apprehended Kimbrough outside. The homeowner at the residence confirmed the woman was safe and resting inside, police said. The woman identified Clewis as the other assailant when interviewed by police. Clewis and Kimbrough were arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, burglary and kidnapping, police said.
