UPDATE (3/10/25) — Muskogee Police said two officers have been put on administrative leave after two deadly shootings involving the same suspect led to a high-speed chase and an officer-involved shooting on Saturday. FOX23 told you OSBI identified the suspect as 26-year-old Aaron Bogar, also known as Aaron Wilson. On Monday, Muskogee Police identified the man who was killed in the shooting near North 24th Street West and Topeka Avenue as Rolando Donta McConnell of Muskogee. FOX23 told you Bogar led multiple agencies on a pursuit after officers located him on Saturday. Muskogee Police said Bogar fired shots at officers during the pursuit. After the pursuit ended, Wilson exited the vehicle and continued to fire shots at the officers, who then fired back and shot him, Muskogee Police said. Wilson was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. The Muskogee Police officers that were involved are Sergeant Bryan Wilkins and Officer Darien Allen, Muskogee Police said. Both officers are on routine paid administrative leave. There are multiple agencies involved in investigating these shootings. Muskogee Police said Wilson is the suspect in both shootings, but they do not have information at this time to say they are connected. This is an ongoing investigation. UPDATE (3/10/25) — Authorities said two people are dead after two separate shootings involving the same suspect in Muskogee County on Saturday. The Muskogee County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a shooting at Five Star Recycling in Oktaha at 5:54 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found a woman who had been shot multiple times. Deputies tried to give her medical aid, but she was pronounced dead soon after EMS arrived. Another woman found with gunshot wounds was treated by EMS and released. The suspect ran from the scene. At 6:09 p.m., the Muskogee Police Department responded to a shooting near North 24th Street West and Topeka Avenue. Officers found a subject had been shot on scene, who was later pronounced dead. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Aaron Bogar, was later located by officers. When officers attempted a traffic stop, Bogar led multiple agencies on a pursuit. The pursuit ended near North 5th Street and West Martin Luther King Street after Bogar begin shooting at officers. Bogar was shot and transported to a Tulsa hospital where he is currently in stable condition. No officers were injured. FOX23 will continue to provide updates as information becomes available. UPDATE (3/9/25) — OSBI has identified the suspect of a deadly shooting as 26-year-old Aaron Bogar. OSBI said Bogar was found by officers in Muskogee. Bogar fled when officers tried to start a traffic stop and a chase ensued. Muscogee Creek Nation Lighthorse Police and Muskogee Police Department pursued the suspect. Bogar shot an officer following the chase and was also injured. He was treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital where OSBI reports he is in stable condition. Authorities confirmed Bogar was connected to a second homicide earlier the same day. The Muskogee Police Department is still investigating that incident. This is still an ongoing investigation and FOX23 will continue to provide updates as they become available. UPDATE (3/9/25) — The Muskogee Police Department said a shooting victim is dead and a suspect was shot by officers after a high-speed chase on Saturday. Police said officers found the victim with gun shot wounds around 6:09 p.m. near North 24th Street West and Topeka Avenue. Police said the incident remains under investigation. MUSKOGEE, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a high-speed chase that ended with an officer-involved shooting. Around 6:09 p.m. on Saturday evening, the Muskogee Police Department responded to a shooting call near North 24th Street West and Topeka Avenue. Once they arrived at the scene, officers said they found one person who had been shot. That scene is still under investigation. According to Muskogee Police, soon afterwards multiple law enforcement agencies became involved in a high-speed chase with the shooting suspect. Muskogee Police stated the chase ended when officers fired and the driver of the suspect car was injured. The suspect was then taken to a Tulsa hospital for treatment.
