After putting a majority of their offseason efforts into rebuilding the offensive and defensive line, the Chicago Bears seem to have plenty of options with their No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

There have been two consistent narratives with what direction Chicago can go, either continuing to add depth and talent to their offensive line, or the strategy of taking the best player available depending on how the board falls.

Already adding Joe Thuney, Jonah Jackson, and Drew Dalman to strengthen the interior of their offensive line, the Bears will have a chance to add another lineman with the their top pick, or an attention-grabbing playmaker. One of the most discussed playmakers who could land to them in the first round is the Heisman Trophy runner-up, Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty.

Following Chicago's recent moves in free agencyy, the team has been listed as the new odds-on favorite to land the star collegiate running back. According to Pro Football Focus , Jeanty was a +320 to the Bears before free agency. Now, after the first week, Chicago is the current favorite to land Jeanty at +150.

Last season, Jeanty rushed for 2,601 yards and scored 29 rushing touchdowns in one of the most remarkable seasons for a running back in college football history. Although Jeanty is the hot name and top prospect at his position, the 2025 running back draft class is considered deep with high talent, and if the Bears were to look to add to a running back, they could eye Jeanty or another name in the second round.

Bears head coach Ben Johnson thrived as Detroit Lions offensive coordinator, when he had a running back duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery leading his rushing attack, and he could look to bring a similar backfield to Chicago.

General manager Ryan Poles said the veteran additions during free agency "really opens the whole board for us" entering the draft. So Jeanty to the Bears is certainly a possibility.
