The Chicago Bears have been busy bolstering their roster during free agency, including most notably in the trenches.

But the 2025 NFL draft also presents Chicago an opportunity to further shore up those and other positions with their seven selections, including four in the Top 75 and the 10th overall pick. Following the additions of their key veterans in free agency, general manager Ryan Poles said their draft board is "wide open," which means anything is on the table at No. 10.

In a new mock draft from USA Today's Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz , the Bears pass on LSU offensive lineman Will Campbell to select Boise State running back at 10th overall.

Is taking a running back this high a luxury for a team that went 5-12 last season? Maybe. But after transforming the team's offensive line and bolstering its defensive front, general manager Ryan Poles said the Bears' spring spending spree "really opens the whole board for us." Rather than merely be an additive presence, Jeanty could be the kind of figure who helps recalibrate the attack, creating big gains by slipping past would-be tacklers or bouncing off them.

At first glance, it's a move that wouldn't come as a complete surprise considering Chicago overhauled their entire interior offensive line during free agency with the additions of center Drew Dalman and guards Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson. But that shouldn't stop the Bears from further improving the offensive line if given the chance.

Thuney isn't the long-term answer at guard (should that be where Campbell slots in), and Braxton Jones isn't a franchise left tackle (should Campbell stick at tackle). Johnson mentioned the importance of having multiple offensive linemen who are up for the task. If Campbell were to fall to Chicago at No. 10, that could very well be the pick.

But the running back position will likely be upgraded in the draft, and if they're high on Jeanty and he falls to them, that could be an easy pick to give quarterback Caleb Williams another weapon on offense.
