SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) - A head-on crash south of Haysville on Monday night has left one man dead and two others seriously injured.

Just before 8 p.m., crews were called to the area of 95th St. and Broadway to the report of a crash.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office says a man driving southbound in a silver Kia Optima on Broadway when it crossed the center line and entered the northbound lanes. The silver Kia struck a brown Chevy Silverado head-on.

The driver of the Kia, 24-year-old Curtis Vickers of Wichita, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man and woman in the Silverado were taken to a local hospital for their injuries.

The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the crash.
