Downs Memorial Park Beach

Located in the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, this is a great beach for all kinds of dogs. It’s wonderfully accessible for new puppies that are learning how to swim, and great for older dogs that want to wade around, too. You can even let your dog off-leash in some areas of the beach. Just make sure your dog is all right with other dogs; this place is really popular with canines.

Terrapin Nature Park

This park/beach combination is a great little spot to get your dog some much-needed exercise -- both on the trail and in the water. They’ll love the walk down to the beach, and once you get there, you’ll find it’s small and intimate, perfect for those dogs that aren’t social butterflies. You do have to keep your dog on a leash, though.

Matapeake Park Dog Beach

If your dog wants space to roam, this is the beach for them. There’s a lot of space for them to play ball, explore, and sniff around. You can let your furry baby off the leash both on the land and in the water. There are also a couple short hikes for you to take together after you’re done splashing around.
