Four people are dead and one person is seriously injured after a fatal crash on Central Florida Parkway in Orange County on Saturday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said. A 20-year-old man from Kissimmee, who was driving a 2024 Toyota Camry, and a 26-year-old man from Orlando, who was driving a 2024 BMW M2, were traveling eastbound on Central Florida Parkway on the outside lane east of Whitley Place, FHP said. The Toyota Camry was in front of the BMW M2. Both vehicles were traveling above the posted speed limit, FHP said. The BMW M2 was attempting to overtake the Toyota Camry by changing lanes from the outside lane to the inside lane. As the BMW attempted to re-enter from the outside lane, the right side of the vehicle collided with the front left of the Toyota Camry. FHP said the impact caused both of the vehicles to run off the the roadway right onto the south shoulder. As a result, the front of the Toyota Camry struck a light pole and continued traveling in a southerly direction. This caused the right side of the vehicle to collide with several trees. The rear passenger, an 18-year-old man from Windermere, was ejected from the vehicle. As the BMW M2 traveled in a southerly direction on the shoulder, the front left of the vehicle struck several trees, FHP said. The Kissimmee man was transported to Orlando Health Dr. Phillips Hospital with serious injures, FHP said. An unidentified front passenger in the Toyota Camry and the driver of the BMW M2 were pronounced dead on scene. The Windermere man and a passenger in the BMW M2, a 23-year-old woman from Orlando, were transported to Orlando Health Dr. Phillips Hospital and were later pronounced dead. This crash remains under investigation.
