Let's go on a Denver sushi tour!

Sushi is a pretty popular meal these days, and we have some great sushi spots here in Denver. Whether you're dining in or taking out, sushi can be consumed on most occasions—you can even bring sushi skiing! Let's take a look at some of the places in Denver to get some awesome sushi!

Hapa Sushi

Hapa Sushi Grill and Sake Bar offers a fantastic fusion between Hawaiian and Japanese cuisines. They currently have 3 locations in the Denver area and one in Boulder. If you are a newer sushi eater, then Hapa is the perfect spot for you, as they have a menu section dedicated to beginner sushi rolls. This features simpler rolls, such as the Alaska roll, which includes smoked salmon, cucumber, and cream cheese.

They also have Hapa original rolls with fun ingredients and cheeky names, such as the "Booty Call Roll," which includes a whole lobster tail on top of a roll filled with snow crab salad, tempura asparagus, and shiso, and it's all drizzled with a garlic sake butter. The menu is quite extensive, so this will likely be a place you'll keep going back to so you can get a taste of it all!

iFish + Ramen

This spot is conveniently located in the Ballpark area of LoDo, where I used to live. That means that I was (and still am) visiting often. With delicious food and reasonable prices, iFish makes for an awesome and affordable meal. They also offer many signature rolls, as well as the classics. Additionally, iFish serves up different varieties of Bento boxes if you're in the mood for something more along the lines of chicken teriyaki, which all comes with an egg roll, miso soup, tempura, and rice. I recently visited iFish with a bunch of friends for a friend's birthday and it was an all-around hit! And once again, it did not break the bank.

Sushi-Rama

With locations in the hip-RiNo neighborhood, DTC, Aurora, Lone Tree, and Broomfield, Sushi-Rama offers a completely different sushi experience than what you would normally expect. This spot serves sushi on a conveyor belt. As the sushi comes down the line, you grab whatever you want, and the prices for each plate are color-coded. They have an additional kitchen menu that offers items such as fried squid legs, edamame, and bento boxes. Of course, drinks are on the menu as well. When I was there, I ordered the Hakutsuru Plum wine, which was uniquely delightful.

Sushi Ronin

This spot is a bit more upscale and expensive, but definitely worth it. Sushi Ronin has both wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces that allow for an enjoyable dining experience, no matter what the weather may be. They describe their menu as "omakase forward," which translates to "I leave it up to you." This sushi spot stays true to traditional sushi preparation, combined with an obscure-traditional menu. The atmosphere is at once intimate and lively. Once again, we are seeing a unique and well-liked sushi restaurant here in Denver.

As you can see, there are lots of fun and tasty sushi options in our city. Whether you're interested in a Hawaiin-Japanese fusion, a conveyor belt experience, or something else, there's a place for you! Hey, why not try them all? I don't know about you but now I'm in the mood for some sushi.
