A 76-year-old woman was carjacked by four teenagers in south Baltimore on Tuesday morning, according to Baltimore City police. Investigators said they received a report of an unarmed carjacking around 4:47 a.m. in the 3200 block of Washington Boulevard. Baltimore Police said four male suspects approached the woman before “forcibly” removing her from her car and driving off in it. “To pull an older lady out of a car and take her car, they didn’t need to do that,” said Andrew Erette, who frequents the area. “It’s getting ridiculous in Baltimore now. It’s weird that these kids are just doing what they want to do.” Police said around 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, the Regional Auto Theft Taskforce, with assistance from the Baltimore County Aviation Unit, tracked down the stolen vehicle and arrested four teenagers. “Unfortunately, for the juveniles, they need to get better for laws for them. Unfortunately, they’re breaking the laws left to right here and there, and they’re not getting any type of consequences,” said Stacy Matthews, who goes to the area often. “They’re getting a slap on the wrist, and they’re being sent back home to do the same things over and over again.” Investigators said two 15-year-old suspects and the 16-year-old were taken to the Juvenile Justice Center and charged with robbery and auto theft. The fourth suspect, another 15-year-old, was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged as an adult with carjacking.
