ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A 5.3 magnitude earthquake shook southern New Mexico on Saturday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake's epicenter was located approximately 15 miles north of New Mexico's border with Texas and originated at a depth of about four miles.

Despite the notable shaking felt by many residents, there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage resulting from the quake.
