Social distancing is keeping people from doing things they'd normally be out doing. But not in "Animal Crossing"! Here's how to live vicariously ...
If you're unfamiliar with the franchise, Animal Crossing is the ultimate chill game: a social simulation game where your character exists in real-time (a day in the game is a day in real life) planting, tending, and socializing. In the most recent release, "Animal Crossing: New Horizons," your character arrives on a deserted island and has to make camp and make a life by fishing, growing fruit, and hunting for bugs. It turns out that there's more to life than just that, however. In fact, now that you're staying home and social distancing, there are quite a few things that you can do in Animal Crossing that you can't even do in real life.
