STRATFORD — Police say officers arrested five people Friday after raiding a local apartment that contained various drugs, including fentanyl.

Of the five arrested, three were felons, Stratford Police Capt. Jerry Pinto said. Police originally said six people were arrested, but later clarified that it was five.

The Stratford Police Department’s Narcotics, Vice and Intelligence Unit executed the search warrant after investigating throughout October. The search took place at an apartment on Court D along Success Avenue, according to Pinto.

In the apartment, officers found fentanyl, crack cocaine, cocaine, PCP, ecstasy, marijuana and material to package narcotics. In addition to the drugs, police seized firearm ammunition and $1,126 in cash, Pinto said.

The search warrant resulted in the arrests of three men and two women, who “were charged with a myriad of narcotics and firearms charges,” Pinto said.

Pinto said about 15 law enforcement officers from the Bridgeport Police Task Force and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport office also assisted in the investigation.

Police charged Andre Seabury, Willie Parks and Russell Lemke each with criminal possession of ammunition, possession of a large-capacity magazine, illegal possession with the intent to sell narcotics and illegal operation of a drug factory, Pinto said.

Seabury, 34, was additionally charged with illegal possession with the intent to sell a hallucinogen and violation of the conditions of release, Pinto said. Seabury also had two outstanding arrest warrants and was additionally charged with two counts of second-degree failure to appear, according to Pinto.

Parks, 39, was also charged with illegal possession of narcotics and illegal possession of a hallucinogen.

Seabury, Parks and Lemke, 41, were each held on $500,000 bonds and are scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on Nov. 15, Pinto said.

Police charged Shelia Ayala, 38, with illegal use of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of narcotics and illegal possession of a hallucinogen. She also had two outstanding arrest warrants and was charged with two counts of second-degree failure to appear, according to Pinto.

Ayala’s bond was set at $10,000 and she is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on Nov. 15, Pinto said.

The second woman arrested, identified as 26-year-old Celynda Watford, had two outstanding arrest warrants and was charged with two counts of second-degree failure to appear, according to Pinto.
