These six free events will add to your summer fun without breaking the bank.

Summer is in full swing here in Colorado, and for those looking for something to do that's easy on the pocketbook, look no further. We did some work and picked out some top-notch free events going on in July you'll want to save the date for.

Here’s the scoop on six different free events happening in the state this month.

Mozart Under Moonlight

July 10

The Colorado Symphony will be performing at this free concert event for one night only at the Dillon Amphitheatre. The orchestra is one of the nation’s leading and home to 80 full-time musicians, with many international artists among them. This all-ages show will showcase Mozart’s concerto, operatic and symphonic works, and feature soloist Andrew Tyson on the piano. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the concert starts at 6 p.m. 

Bobstock Music Festival

July 12-13

Held every year on the second weekend in July, Bobstock Music Festival is an opportunity to hear some national headliners for free. There will be live music from 16 different musical acts on three stages. The festival also has food vendors, a beer garden, kiddie rides, face painting, games, bounce houses, and tethered hot air balloon rides, if the weather allows. While the music is free, you’ll want to bring some cash for food and drinks. 

Colorado Black Arts Festival

July 12-14

The Colorado Black Arts Festival is a celebration of African arts and culture in Denver. With live jazz and gospel performances, visual arts displays, short films, and documentaries, this free event attracts thousands of people from across the state. Carpooling and public transport are recommended by the organizer, as this is a green festival. Pets are not allowed, service dogs only with proper identification. No open containers or coolers are allowed on festival grounds either.

Free concerts all summer at the Levitt Pavilion

Levitt Pavilion is playing host to 50 free family-friendly concerts this summer, meaning there are plenty of opportunities to get out there and listen to live music. Check out the lineup below for the free concerts in July:

Denver Career Fair

July 18

We know, we know, it’s summertime and no one wants to think about work … but the bills have to get paid somehow! National Career Fairs is holding an event in Denver and if you are looking for a new job or a new opportunity, this is worth checking out. Buffalo Bill Days

July 25-28

The Old West comes alive at Golden’s largest annual community festival that has been around since the 1940’s when it was a trail ride up to Buffalo Bill’s grave. The event has grown to be the big celebration that it is today, and there's no shortage of things to do all weekend long. Live music, a car show, ‘Best of the West’ parade, a Saturday morning parade, Mutton Bustin’ contest, food vendors, and much more make this one of Colorado’s favorite small-town summer festivals.
