The Mandela Effect is one of those insane things that never fails to both creep me out and excite me simultaneously. We've created a list of 8 mind-boggling examples of the Mandela Effect before—including the Sinbad Shazaam movie that never existed and more—but we wanted to do a second iteration to see what new ones are out there.
Now, if you're new here, allow us to explain the Mandela Effect: a phenomenon in which a collective group of people recalls moments with such clarity, only to learn that what they remembered isn't correct.
A prime example of this (and why it's called the Mandela Effect in the first place) is Nelson Mandela's death in the 1980s. Many people remember watching his funeral on television. Only, this never happened. Mandela died in 2013. So, why do people remember his death in the '80s?
Honestly, we can't explain it. It's pretty trippy, though, right?
So, without further ado, here are 6 more mind-boggling examples of the Mandela Effect! (You're about to question everything. Fair warning.)
More Mandela Effects That'll Blow Your Mind:
Oscar Mayer Is Spelled With an "A," Not an "E"

Sing it with me, "My bologna has a first name, it's O-S-C-A-R ... my bologna has a second name, it's M-E-Y-E-R ..."—wait a minute.
Yep. Oscar Mayer is actually spelled with an "a," not an "e." Have we all been singing the song wrong this whole time?!
What's Pikachu's True Tail Color?

It's yellow with a black tip, right?! Wrong.
Despite many of us (myself included) thinking the Pokémon character had black on the end of his tail, it's just yellow. Mind. Blown.
"Life Is Like a Box of Chocolates"
Like other Mandela Effects, we may have to attribute this one to misheard quotes. In Forrest Gump, Forrest (played by the amazing Tom Hanks) says, "Life was like a box of chocolates." However, many of us say "is" instead. Watch the clip below, if you don't believe us, and listen carefully:
(Even the title of the YouTube video got the quote wrong!)
His Name Isn't Smokey the Bear
Ever since I was a kid, I referred to Smokey Bear as Smokey the Bear, as I'm sure many of you did too. There's no "the" in his name, though, guys. (I have no idea how to process this information, to be honest.)
According to the U.S. Forest Service, "It’s Smokey Bear, not Smokey the Bear. 'The' was added when songwriters penned Smokey’s tune. It helped with the rhythm of the song. It's the only time Smokey Bear ever has a middle name."
We've Been Spelling The Flintstones Wrong This Entire Time

Yabba-dabba-doo! This Mandela Effect has me questioning my spelling skills (and I write for a living!). Apparently, The Flinstones has 2 "t's" in its name. It's The FlinTsTones, not The Flinstones.
Tom Cruise Doesn't Wear Sunglasses in Infamous Scene From Risky Business
Even in other pop culture mediums get this one wrong. This scene (below) from Risky Business has been recreated so many times, with (almost) every iteration including sunglasses. But Tom Cruise never wears sunglasses. Just socks, a button-up shirt, and a whole lot of 'tude!
Now, watch the dance recreated in the '90s sitcom The Nanny. Notice anything?
