680k baby rattles have been recalled. Make sure you don’t have one!

Around 680,000 baby rattles sold by multiple retailers have been recalled due to a potential choking hazard.   According to Kids II Inc, the producers of the rattle, the Oball Rattles (which come in blue, orange, and green) have clear plastic discs with colored beads around the perimeter. The firm has received 42 reports of the discs breaking, releasing the beads, which children could ingest. There were also two reports of beads being found in children’s mouths, and three reports of gagging. baby rattles The rattles, model #81031, were sold at Target, Walgreens, Walmart, and other nationwide retailers. They were also sold online on Amazon.com, Babyhaven.com, Diapers.com, Toysrus.com, Walgreens.com and other sites. They were sold between January 2016 and February 2017.
Only rattles with date codes T0486, T1456, T2316, T2856 and T3065 located on a small triangle on the inner surface of the rattle are included in the recall.   Anyone who has a recalled rattle in their home should immediately remove them from any area accessible by children and contact Kids II Inc., based in Atlanta, GA., for a full refund.   Call toll-free at (877) 243-7314 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST Monday through Friday or visit this link for more information.
