When the cargo ship Dali slammed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in the Baltimore Harbor on March 26, there were thought to be six victims — all construction workers who were filling potholes that night. Emergency responder crews have been searching for the bodies of those workers ever since, and on Tuesday, May 7, it was announced that the sixth and final body had been found.

That sixth victim was identified as José Mynor López, 37, of Baltimore, Md. Other victims include: Miguel Angel Luna Gonzalez , 49, of Glen Burnie, Md.; Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, 35, of Baltimore; Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera, 26, of Dundalk, Md.; Carlos Daniel Hernández of Mexico and Maynor Yassir Suazo Sandoval , 49, originally from Guatemala. They were employed by Brawner Builders and most had moved to the United States from Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras.

Maryland State Police investigators along with officers from the Maryland Transportation Authority Police and the FBI responded to the scene and recovered the body of a sixth construction worker. Assistance was also provided by the Maryland State Police Underwater Recovery Team and Crime Scene Unit. The crash remains under investigation.

“With heavy hearts, today marks a significant milestone in our recovery efforts and providing closure to the loved ones of the six workers who lost their lives in this tragic event,” Col. Roland L. Butler, Jr., superintendent of the Maryland Department of State Police, stated in a press release. “As we mourn with the families, we honor the memory of José Mynor López, Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera, Maynor Yasir Suazo-Sandoval, Carlos Daniel Hernandez Estrella, and Miguel Angel Luna Gonzalez.”
