HONOLULU (Island News) -- 7-Eleven Hawaii has purchased the former Longs Drugs property in the Honolulu neighborhood of Liliha, Island News has learned. Longs Drugs occupied the 3,146-square-foot building located at the northwest corner of Liliha and Kuakini streets up until February of 2023. 7-Eleven purchased the property for $4 million, public records show. Built in 2009, the building has an existing drive-thru pickup lane, and is located next to Liliha Bakery. 7-Eleven is likely renovating the property to open another one of its convenience stores. The highly-visible location fits in with the company’s strategy of being accessible and visible to those driving or walking by. Island News has reached out to 7-Eleven Hawaii for comment.
