St. Nick will visit Denver this week, as will thousands of tourists and others who want to spend this holiday in the Mile High City. With extra family in town and lots of travelers on the roads, it’s safe to say that it's gonna be a full week ahead! Zoo Lights, Broadway musicals, an immersive spooky art experience, and Christmas Day basketball all made our list of fun (and festive) things to do in Denver this week!

Zoo Lights at the Denver Zoo

For close to 30 years, the Denver Zoo has shared with us this dazzling holiday experience. Take a walk through the 80 acres of glittery lights while visiting the animals at nighttime. Tickets are in high demand, so if you haven’t yet, this is a perfect week to visit.
Jimmy Buffett's Escape to Margaritaville
When: December 23, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Buell Theatre, DCPA
Price: Starting at $38
Music and lyrics all written by Jimmy Buffett himself, audiences will find themselves entwined in the story of Margaritaville "where people come to get away from it all—and stay to find something they never expected." There are shows all week, and tickets are going fast.

Salvation Army Christmas Dinner

Where: Colorado Convention Center
Price: Free
The Salvation Army continues the tradition of providing a Christmas dinner to those in need. Held at the Colorado Convention Center and run by volunteers, the event brings together the community to lift up those who are down on their luck this holiday season. You can still sign up to volunteer!

New Orleans Pelicans @ Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets host the Pelicans in this holiday game. A nice way to end the day and walk off some off those holiday cookies cheering on the team at the Pepsi Center.

A Hudson Christmas

A Hudson Christmas lights up the Hudson Gardens and is a wonderful way to enjoy the season with family after the gift-giving is done. It's an extravaganza of light, music, hot cocoa, and fun!
Spookadelia 2: The Candy Conjuring: Sugar Plum Scary's Revenge

This immersive art experience is the sequel to "Spookadelia" and is a multi-room frozen purgatory and candy tornado adventure with Sugar Plum Scary through the Crone Throne Forest, complete with candy zombies. There are shows all week!
