As 2017 comes to a close, everyone and their mother are making New Year's Resolutions to become their #BestSelves. Smokers aren't excluded in their annual tradition. So, if you smoke and you're having a little trouble thinking of a New Year's Resolution -- we've got some ideas for you!
I Will Clean My Pieces More Often

We've all been guilty of neglecting to clean our pieces every now and then... but some of us are worse than others. I actually have a friend that will just buy a new piece if one gets too clogged with res -- but not all of us have the means. Simply keeping some rubbing alcohol (90 percent) and sea salt on hand makes the chore much easier. Just let your pieces soak in the alcohol, add the salt and shake away. Shiny pieces only in the year 2018!
I Will Expand my Marijuana Horizons

Flower is GREAT, we all know this. But sometimes it's nice to switch things up with your smoking. Maybe try
concentrates if you haven't yet. Maybe roll a joint instead of hitting your dirty bong all the time. Try some

No More Smoking Before Work

It always seems like a good idea... shave off a little morning stress before heading into the office or the workplace. Well, until you catch yourself staring out the window for five straight minutes with a continuous "F" being typed into your spreadsheet. Sure, there are a bunch of us out there that are totally functional smoking a bit before starting your day -- but some of us really aren't, maybe it's best you make your NY Resolution to keep the smoking to the evenings.
I Will Choose Healthier Munchies

If your munchie go-tos are chips, cookies, tacos, bagel bites, etc., maybe you need to rethink your pantry. It's so easy to reach for a bag of chips because you're bored-stoned. You're not hungry, you're bored and your body is looking for something to do. The repetitive motion of eating chips or the like supplement that urge. Maybe chug a protein shake or get yourself moving to distract from your needless hunger. If that's not your style, maybe opt for some carrot sticks and grapes.
I Will Stop Pocketing Lighters

Really, Doug? You have a box on your table with 20 lighters you've taken from all of us. You don't need another one of mine.
Be More Aware of Legislation

Being in Colorado with the ability to freely purchase and smoke marijuana is an amazing thing! While it's great to enjoy the privilege, it's also great to know why, how, and what is coming in the way of legalized marijuana. There is so much more involved with legalization than just getting stoned. Talk the talk, don't just smoke the pot.
I Will Not Hog the Joint While Telling a Long Story

There is nothing worse than
that guy/gal who gets their hand on the joint or blunt, just to start telling a story and taking a puff with every pause. If you're that person, DON'T BE -- make it your resolution to remember to puff-puff-PASS when you're in the circle. Your friends will like you more for it, and you'll probably get invited to more sessions.
