STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Just weeks after the Port Richmond Library reopened to patrons after years of renovation , dozens of library staff, patrons, and members of the community gathered to celebrate its grand opening on Thursday.

The historic site in Port Richmond, a branch of the New York Public Library, once again became a community hub for resources and activities when it reopened on Feb. 24, after four years of renovation.
