We finally saw some much-needed rainfall across the Granite State Thursday, with several towns picking up over an inch of rain.

The latest drought monitor , also released Thursday, shows that the drought has continued to expand in New Hampshire, but this latest update does not take this most recent rain into account.

Many areas are still several inches below normal for precipitation so far this season, and we still need a lot more in order to make up that deficit.
