Most of the Midlands can expect to stay dry today. This Father’s Day will be hot and steamy with highs around 90 degrees feeling more like 100 degrees due to humid conditions.

Any storms that develop will likely do so late in the day and dissipate quickly after sunset.

While a pop-up storm or two can not be ruled out each afternoon this week, overall rain chances are much lower compared to last week.

It will be even hotter for the rest of the week. Highs rise into the low and mid 90s this week.

Rising temperatures combined with slightly higher humidity levels will lead to higher heat index values, or feels-like temperatures, over next several days! Take care of yourselves! If working outdoors this week, make sure to find shade, take frequent breaks in air conditioning, and stay hydrated.
