In the aftermath of horrible tragedies, sometimes it helps to think about all the good that humanity is capable of, too.

Author and Entertainment Weekly senior writer Anthony Breznican took to Twitter to share a story of a chance meeting he had one time with everybody's favorite neighbor, Mr. Rogers.

I've gotta be honest -- this one brought tears to my eyes. You can read Breznican's Tweets in the order he tweeted them, below:

Though I've heard Mr. Rogers' famous "helpers" quote before, there is something innately comforting about hearing it again: [embed]https://youtu.be/-LGHtc_D328[/embed]
When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”
Everyone has experienced loss in one form or another, and we all grieve for others -- even people we don't know -- when their lives are affected by tragedy, too. That's why Mr. Rogers' words are so relatable and why it's so wonderful to hear stories of how Mr. Rogers' kindness, compassion, and leadership expanded beyond the bounds of his famous children's show, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, and spilled over into the lives of "neighbors" he came face-to-face with in his daily life -- even in an elevator. There is still good in the world.
