If there's one thing I look forward to twice a year, it's the Occoquan Arts and Crafts Show.
In its 49th year, the Occoquan Arts and Crafts Show has become a tradition that thousands of Virginians bank on. Some even plan their vacations around it! Once each summer and once each fall, downtown historic Occoquan comes to life in a vivid way. The quaint streets are shut down to traffic for two days as 300 craft vendors and artists set up shop, along with amazing food vendors and stages for talented musical entertainers. WHEN: Saturday, June 2 -- 10 a.m.–6 p.m. | Sunday, June 3 -- 10 a.m.–5 p.m. WHERE: Downtown Historic Occoquan, Virginia [gallery type="rectangular" ids="8486,8487"]
Attending this epic arts and crafts festival is completely free, though if you go, you'll want to plan on bringing cash for the shuttle bus ($5 per person, ages 12 and under ride free) and buying power for food, drinks, and all the artistic creations you won't be able to live without.
