Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, and Sam Hunt will headline the virtual, interactive series.

The pandemic may have taken away summer concerts at Red Rocks, but music is returning for a few days in September through a virtual concert. From September 1-3, "Red Rocks Unpaused" will bring live music to phones and laptops for free each night starting at 8 p.m.

Denver Arts & Venues partnered with digital wireless carrier Visible to produce the concert series and provide fans with an interactive musical experience. The artists will perform at Red Rocks while the audience watches live via phone or laptop, so don't break into Red Rocks to attend! The concert is entirely free and virtual. Fans can watch from the couch, back porch, or by the pool.

The Lineup

Denver-based Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats will headline on Tuesday, September 1. Indie musician Phoebe Bridgers will open for the band.

Rapper Lil Baby will co-headline with Megan Thee Stallion on Wednesday, September 2.

On Thursday, September 3, the final night of the concert series, country artist Sam Hunt will play alongside special guest Brett Young.

Innovative Fan Interaction

The most exciting part of the concert is the ability of the fans to participate. The Cheer-O-Meter measures how many people are yelling or cheering into their computer or phone microphones. Those cheers will travel to the artists performing at Red Rocks and change the venue's lighting to match the fans' emotions.

Want to see some pyrotechnics or animations during the show? Fans will be able to vote on what happens during the concert, from fire displays to different lighting and animation changes. The audience will also vote on the encore song for each artist.

You will even be able to leave your favorite singer or band a message during their performance. Type up a sweet note, and it will be projected onto the Red Rocks for the artists to see.

Free Merch

Concert organizers are giving out free swag to the first people who sign up for an event reminder. The first 250 people to sign up will get a hat, t-shirt, travel mug, and patches. The first 1,500 will receive the second merch pack, which includes a hat and t-shirt.

Sign up for reminders and learn more about the concert and performing artists on the "Red Rocks Unpaused" website
