PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The storm system producing severe weather in the central Plains on Monday is the same one still impacting the weather around Arizona, even though we’re on the back side of the system.

The impact of the storm system is being felt from the Great Lakes states to the Southwest.

Additionally, a second low pressure system is expected to emerge from the main low and settle over Arizona towards the end of the week.

This system will maintain mild temperatures and could potentially bring a few showers to northern Arizona.

For Tuesday, the winds are expected to come back up across much of Arizona.

Breezy conditions are expected in the Valley, but in northeast Arizona, we have both red flag warnings and wind advisories posted for Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Flagstaff is included in the wind advisory.

High temperatures in the Valley will run in the low 90s for the rest of the week.

But we’ll see the temperature on the rise for the weekend, and by Monday, we’ll be back around 100.

However, we don’t expect to go much further than that, at least in the extended 10-day forecast.
