San Diego Padres relief pitcher Adrian Morejon's wife, Melany Morejon, has been his companion even before his MLB debut. Melany is active on social media, especially on Instagram, though she has a little over 1,000 followers.

Melany's Instagram contents are often fashion-related. However, her Instagram story on Saturday night, from Scottsdale, Arizona, showed a snap taken from a TV screen showing the UFC 311 PPV.

The snap was taken in between rounds four and five of the co-main event bantamweight title fight of champion Khabib Nurmagomedov's cousin Umar and Merab Dvalishvili. Melany captured the moment a helpless Khabib tried to motivate his cousin who was on a downward spiral at that point of the fight.

After winning the first two rounds of the fight on two of three judges' scorecards, Dvalishvili's pressure took over from round three. By the end of the fourth round, Umar was visibly exhausted while Dvalishvili looked fresh.

Khabib realized this and tried his best to motivate the bantamweight title challenger, but it was not enough. Dvalishvili started where he left off, showing why he is nicknamed "The Machine."

The loss to Dvalishvili was Umar's first in professional MMA. Khabib retired undefeated and cemented his legacy with a Hall of Fame induction in 2022. After retirement, Khabib took the role once held by his father, the late great Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, as the head coach of fighters training out of his MMA gym in Dagestan.

Adrian Morejon's girlfriend Melany was a constant at Petco Park during the Padres postseason run, which ended in the NLDS against the Dodgers. She was notably spotted with the partners of Jackson Merrill, Michael King and Joe Musgrove .

An hour before she shared the snap of Khabib and Umar Nurmagomedov, Melany shared a mirror selfie on her Instagram story. She wore a brown furry coat, matching the color of her hair, and a bodycon dress. Melany also held a matching bag.

Melany is known for her style, often sharing it on Instagram. During the All-Star red carpet, Melany stole the spotlight with a stunning silver wrap dress. Adrian Morejon complemented his wife with an equally stunning white tuxedo.

Morejon, who defected from Cuba in 2015, signed a minor league contract with the Padres in 2016 for an $11,000,000 signing bonus. He made his MLB debut in 2019.

In the 2024 season, Morejon played 60 games and had a respectable 2.83 ERA. With Joe Musgrove out of action till the 2026 season, a starting pitcher role is up for grabs. It remains to be seen whether the Padres will offer it to Morejon, whose last start came on July 2, 2023.
