Established in 1976 as part of Baltimore City’s Showcase of Nations, the Baltimore AFRAM Festival has evolved into a multi-generational, two-day live experience that unites some of the most influential voices in music, art, and creativity.

The 2025 festival boasts an impressive lineup of performers, such as Patte LaBelle and Juvenile.

Mayor Brandon M. Scott, in collaboration with Baltimore City Recreation and Parks, has revealed the plans for the 48th annual AFRAM Festival. Scheduled for June 21 and 22, the festival will take place at Druid Hill Park. This event continues Baltimore’s tradition of honoring Black excellence across various domains, including fashion, art, music, business, and culture.

The list of performers also include Amerie, Teedra Moses, Saweetie and Vedo, known for his role as a contestant on “The Voice.”

AFRAM stands as an event to spotlight local talent, entrepreneurs, and artisans, providing them with a platform to showcase their offerings to a diverse audience. Recognized as one of the premier African-American cultural arts festivals on the East Coast, AFRAM consistently draws significant crowds.

AFRAM is the second major event in Baltimore’s summer festival season, following Artscape on May 24–25. The Baltimore Caribbean Festival will take place July 12–13, and Charm City Live is scheduled for Sept. 20.

Applications are currently being accepted for merchandising and vendors interested in participating. Prospective attendees and participants are encouraged to visit aframbaltimore.com for further information and updates.
